Jimbo [Mon 23rd Aug @ 23:18] I saw Professor Stephen Hawking in a restaurant in Ely (near Cambridge) yesterday! I was up with my family to see my grandparents. He was sitting at the table opposite me, having Sunday lunch with his family I think. I didn't go say hi, much as I wanted to - it just wouldn't have been appropriate or polite. I was just amazed - this man is a living legend and is a hero of mine, so it was just awesome to see him! The meal was nice too :-)

The new site will have new features and updates for every page too. I'll probably get rid of the guestbook and forum cos this shout box thingy replaces the need for them.

Jimbo [Wed 29th Sep @ 13:43] I went and saw Never Mind the Buzzcocks being filmed at the BBC TV centre in London last night, with Pete, Helen, Steph and Neil. We were sitting right at the front and before the show, Mark Lamarr asked the audience who really pissed them off, and I said Linda Barker. He said he couldn't take the piss out of her anymore cos he had too much in the past already, and I answered back saying that she was SO annoying he should still rip the piss anyway, then he turned it all on me and called ME the most annoying person in Britain, and it all went downhill from there! When Bill Bailey and Phil Jupitus came on he told them that the audience had decided that the most annoying person ever was James Haslam, and they started discussing me. Phil Jupitus looked at me and wondered where Sting was 23 years ago - but I'll take that as a compliment! Mark Lamarr kept dropping my name all over the place thoughout the show! He even said "Hello, I'm Mark Lamarr, welcome to Never Mind James Haslam!" Jason Donovan and Louis Walsh (the judge from the X-factor) were guests - Jason Donovan even asked who I was cos Mark Lamarr kept mentioning me! The show will be aired on Monday 4th October at 9pm on BBC2, but I very much doubt you'll hear my name on there (thank the Lord!) - they shot 2 hours of footage for a 30 minute show and Mark Lamarr even said to me that they'd probably cut all references to me out, which makes sense as it was only funny in context to the studio audience. In fact, Mark Lamarr when doing a crap gag and getting not much laughter repeated the gag but with my name and got a much bigger laugh and he said that they'd use that laugh instead! To be fair I did deserve the ridicule, 21 years old and I still haven't learned when to keep my mouth shut!! It was a really funny evening and I think Pete especially enjoed it - it was his 22nd (Happy Birthday dude).

Jim [Wed 6th Oct @ 7:34] If you're a student I feel compelled to tell you about a rather good mobile phone contract I just found on the orange website - it's 300 minutes to anyone anytime and 1000 texts all at just £30 per month. It is an 18 month contract you have to sign, but you're not going to find anything better than that for ages! I can't get it though because cancelling my current contract would cost a fortune.

The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoeostrogens) and drinking it makes men turn into women. After nearly four solid weeks in Mada, I am finally feeling settled. My placement is brilliant - I work from 7am to 1am with the lemurs, observing their day to day activities, then in the afternoon, teach in the primary school or go to a hotel and teach English and get free food! Back of the net! Whats the news on glasto tickets? I know I don't have one, but do the rest of the crew? Happy birthday to all the april birthdays btw - Libby, Libby, Egg, Plence, Skyte, Prowler.
