Thursday 30th October - Been fairly busy recently. Lots of 21sts! Salks (course/work mate) was 21 on Friday (photos here) and we went out to the pub the night before for that. Friday I left work early and sat on a train for nearly 6 hours to get to Hud's house in Woking, where 7 of us spent the weekend (photos here).
After getting happily pissed at the house on Friday night, we made it into London, had a 3pm lunch, did some shopping (I bought a really really nice Ted Baker shirt!!), then went back to Woking, got changed and went back to London. We had a midnight meal in Chiquitos in Leicester Square, then spent a good hour getting lost in Soho, then finally found a tiny little club which was actually pretty cool. After a £90 taxi home, we got to bed at about 4:30 (same as Friday night). Sunday was spent sleeping and watching 'The Rock' :) The whole weekend cost £250 - it has actually screwed up my finanaces so bad I'm gonna have to stop drinking for a while :(
I spent another 6 hours on the train on the way back, and was up till 3 getting ready for Monday. Gemma's birthday! She loved her presents! Monday night was AMAZING (photos here) - a cocktail Halloween birthday party for her and Salks at her flat, then to Squires in town. Gem and her flatmates had gone crazy decorating the flat, but it looked amazing! About 100 tea candles managed to heat the kitchen up to successfully simulate the lower levels of hell! After drinking from the "Cauldron of Death" we had a really good night in Squires. Again, another 3pm bedtime. Oh well!
Liam was also 21 on Saturday - happy birthday! My cousin Mike was 22 on Tuesday - happy birthday! And last but not least, my mum is 50 today!! (shhhh).
I'm going to see Evanescence in Manchester tomorrow night, then get another early 6 hour train down to London, this time to go home for the weekend for Mum's party thing.
Work has been a bit slow - my manager was off for 2 weeks, but it's getting slightly better now. Football Monday night, various other things happening next week. The revolution is coming! It better be good! (Matrix for those of you on Mars).
Sunday 19th October - Been in Loughborough this weekend, was good to be back again! Next weekend I'll be down in London/Woking - looking forward to that. Nothing much else been going on, work's been a bit better this week - we had a meeting on Thursday and I couldn't stop laughing, as it very quickly deteriorated into a piss ripping session. When that's the highlight of my week, I know I'm in the wrong job! Photos from the last few days will be online by Wednesday hopefully.
Sunday 12th October - Most of you should now have login access to the new photo gallery feature. If you haven't and you want it then get in touch. I'm going to leave the 1550 photos that are already on my site where they are, i.e. not transfer them across, cos I have better things to do unsurprisingly!
Watched the England match tonight, was good but crap pitch, dirty Turks, and stupid offside rule! That was a beautiful goal, cruelly denied!
In a few hours I'll be off to Conniston Old Man, a big hill in the Lake District, to make sure that Phil and his mate Scouse do what they said and climb it 3 legged to raise funds for their Greenland expedition. 3 legged. I'll be laughing at them the whole way up and down!
Friday 10th October - I now have the gallery working! It's taken all my cunning but it's pretty cool. Click here to see it in action. Click here for the instructions. I'll be in touch with you soon to tell you your user name and password if I have already set up an account for you. If I haven't yet done it and you want an account, get in touch. It's free and easy!
In other non-website news, LOUGHBOROUGH last weekend was AMAZING!! It was SO GOOD to see everyone again. FND was one of the best ever. I'll be heading back to Loughborough whenever I can really.
The plan for the next few weekends is this:
October
November
...looks like I'm gonna be pretty busy!!
Friday 3rd October - Sorry about the lack of updates but I've had better things to do, like listening to the new Muse album (amazing!) and singing Bohemian Rhapsody in Roper Hall in Preston (photos to come soon).
Last weekend I wrote a fight between Egg and Gemma, but it was crap and I decided to give up on the whole fight thing, sorry Mike! I have just upgraded my web hosting as well cos I was coming to the end of the 100mb I had before, so I now have 200mb. What I'm working on at the moment is a clever photo gallery thing that will let all of you upload you own photos into your own galleries on this site, that you will easily be able to manage. You'll see when that's online if I ever get it working.
Right well that'll do for now, I'm off to Loughborough now, kicking off the weekend with Returners FND! Can't wait!!
