Scafell Pike (978m) was next, which we climbed on Thursday afternoon. The weather was still perfect for climbing, and the climb up was more interesting than the previous 2. We crossed a river, a huge boulder field, and then towards the summit, there was endless rock. It's a miracle no-one twisted their ankle!
There was no cloud at the top, so we could see for miles. Sellafield Nuclear Power Station was in full view, as was the Isle of Man. Apparently on a really clear day you can see Scotland, Ireland and Wales!
Our group separated at the summit so that me and the other fast people could get down quickly! Running down mountains is fun!
